This personal project explored material reuse, pattern, and spatial rhythm through hands-on making. I sourced discarded local pallet wood, deconstructed it, and refinished each piece in a white oil-based paint, allowing the natural grain and variations in the wood to remain visible. The wall is organized around a chevron pattern, with custom cuts required to adapt the geometry around architectural constraints such as vents, outlets, and the fireplace. The result is a tactile, site-responsive surface that highlights imperfection, repetition, and material character—reflecting my broader interest in structure, pattern, and adaptive problem-solving.
